We have long-term goals:
The vision of the Sisters of St. Martha Chapter of 1997 is as follows:

"We see a new challenge to live in public witness the connectedness between life-giving communities and the whole earth community."

Our current justice project is to partner with other groups to create a comprehensive programme of Earth Literacy.

The Sisters of the Congregation of Notre Dame, and the Secular Franciscans have been our partners
in this project. Other partnering groups have included the Environmental Coalition, St. Paul's Anglican Church, the Unitarian Fellowship.

GLOBAL AWARENESS

Global awareness is a process by which one gradually understands and values the sacredness and oneness of the world. To become globally aware is to realize that:

#  We are all responsible for the care of the planet and of one another.

#  We are a people of diverse cultures, languages, religions, customs and geographic locations who share
     the same basic humanness.    

The systems of the world — social, cultural, racial, economic, linguistic, technological and ecological — are interrelated.
