Martha, gracious woman, Pearl of great price
Boldly and bravely called Jesus the Christ.
Teach us to speak truth, be our friend and guide.

And there was a woman whom Jesus loved
Martha of Bethany, Martha.
And when Martha heard that Jesus was coming
She went out to meet Him.
Martha, friend and companion with vision and zeal
You give voice to challenge and question.

With gentleness and peace you tamed the dragon.

Martha, woman apostle, valiant woman
